Nintendo will release 4 mobile games before March 2017

In mid-2015, Nintendo said it would launch 5 mobile games before March 2017. Now, the company appears to have changed its mind, because they will only develop four titles.

Despite having promised that five games would arrive before March 2017, Nintendo has now said that only 4 titles have been getting ready. During an interview with Time, Shigeru Miyamoto said that Super Mario Run was one of the titles that Kimishima had previously commented on, but made clear that Nintendo doesn’t know if “there will end up being all five of them.”

The reason, according to Miyamoto, is development issues and market conditions, a situation that prevents them from throwing, at this moment, five mobile applications.

“We’ve consistently stated a plan to launch approximately five mobile apps by the end of this fiscal year, including Miitomo” he said. “Given market conditions and the development process for each title, our current plan is to launch four total mobile titles in that period.”

Other games that will reach smartphones are Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing, but according to Nintendo, they will be delayed, also not knowing at this time what date they will be available.

Originally, mobile titles were planned to debut in late 2016, but it seems that now the titles will come before March 2017. For the moment, we are expecting a release date by Nintendo for these titles.
