Need for Speed Payback will be optimized for PS4 Pro and Xbox Scorpio, no plans for Switch version

Speaking to the microphones of GameSpot, the manufacturer of Need for Speed Payback has confirmed that the game will be optimized for the PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox Scorpio, although at the moment it is not clear how the title will exploit the potential of these two platforms.


Need for Speed ​​Payback is optimized for the Xbox Scorpio and PlayStation 4 Pro, but a Switch version is not planned. The executive producer Marcus Nilsson has confirmed that the Need for Speed ​​Payback racing game will support the Xbox Scorpio and PlayStation 4 Pro. “Yes, we are.” He added: “Both of those platforms will be supported.” He did not mention about any other details.

Marcus Nilsson also revealed that there are currently no plans to bring Need for Speed Payback on Nintendo Switch. “Would that be a platform that Need for Speed: Payback could run on? I don’t see why [not], but it’s not something we’re looking to at this very moment,” Nilsson stated.

Need for Speed Payback will be released on November 10 on PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox Scorpio and Windows PC, during the EA Play event the publisher has shown the first video gameplay game that you can see at the bottom of this news.

The game includes a single player story mode where you take on the role of Tyler Morgan, in an attempt to rebuild their team facing seemingly impossible race. In the game there will be five types of car racing: Race, Drift, Off-Road, Drag and Runner.
