Microsoft says Xbox Scorpio’s Price considered like a “Premium Product”
Aaron Greenberg, head of the marketing division of Xbox at Microsoft, has given a statement to the website DualShockers on Xbox Scorpio, its price and its definition as a premium product. The machine is expected to arrive in late 2017.
The declarations of Greenberg are rather aimed to show Xbox Scorpio as a premium product, with high quality, consistent with the brandished definition from Redmond regarding “the most powerful console ever designed.”
“Well, we think about it as a premium product,” says Greenberg. “From that standpoint, it is going to be a very high-end product,” he explains. Without being too specific with the price of the console, the executive talks about “PC gamers do spend thousands of dollars on creating a game system in 4K,” and takes the opportunity to show their excitement about taking the actual game in 4K consoles. “We’re gonna bring a whole new console, with a whole new set of capabilities,” he says.
Although Microsoft did not disclose more details officially, – Greenberg says more information about the machine will not be given at this time – as various media will speculate, following the words of the executive, that Xbox Scorpio could go on sale in 2017 for less than $1,000 price.
Microsoft has been clear about Project Scorpio, the new version of Xbox, which will arrive next year (2017) just for the Christmas period. As indicated in numerous rumors, Project Scorpio will be the most powerful console ever created by having 6 teraflops of capacity, and a CPU of 8-core with more than 320+ GB/s memory width, something that will allow the 4K game without visual sacrifices and with the high-fidelity virtual reality.
