Michel Ancel confirms Beyond Good & Evil 2 is in pre-production
Michel Ancel, the creator of games like Rayman and Beyond Good and Evil, has shown one new image of Beyond Good & Evil 2. This is the third in recent days, and virtually the only news about this sequel since its announcement in 2008.
The creator of Beyond Good & Evil, Michel Ancel, for some time now has been bringing hope for a sequel, posting pictures like conceptual artwork. Now he already said that BG&E2 will arise explicitly, although the release is still far away.
“Endangered species now saved. Game in pre-production. Stay tuned,” Ancel said on Instagram, sharing a picture of a rhinoceros. In addition to this character, an anthropomorphic rhino, Ancel confirms that the game is in pre-production, which means it is still at a very early stage of development.
Little is known of Beyond Good and Evil 2, beyond that Ancel has been working on the game while he was responsible for other projects. Ubisoft has emphasized in the past that the sequel has not been canceled. Ancel also did not hide that he is willing to create BG&E2. In the year of 2008 and 2009 he already revealed the famous title, animated trailers, but four years later the producer admitted that the technology was not ready then for a project of such ambition.
The first installment was originally released in 2003 for PC, GameCube, Xbox and PlayStation 2, offering a blend of action, exploration, puzzles and platforms which was very well received by both audiences and critics.
According to some rumors, the game would now be known by the title of Beyond Good & Evil: The Prejudices of Philosophers and the output would be provided exclusively on Nintendo NX, thanks to a partnership signed by Ubisoft and Nintendo. Clearly, we invite you to take the latter information with proper precautions.
