Marvel’s Avengers Microtransactions Officially Confirmed
The new game of Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics dedicated to the Avengers, Marvel’s Avengers, was revealed during the conference of the Japanese company that took place last Tuesday at E3 2019. It is an action game with a strong narrative component but does not renounce a game as a service structure with co-op. We know that new content will be introduced over time via DLC, the first of which is dedicated to Ant-Man, who will join Captain America, Black Widow, Hulk, Iron Man, and Thor.
It was also confirmed that the game does not want to offer loot boxes or pay-to-win mechanics; this does not mean, however, that there will be no microtransactions. The confirmation comes directly from the head of Crystal Dynamics, Shaun Escayg, who explained that it will be possible to buy predefined outfits. The lead combat designer Vincent Napoli also confirmed that these objects will have no effect on the gameplay.
Enthusiasts can, therefore, rest assured: Marvel’s Avengers will not force us to pay to stay on the same level as other players. On the other hand, Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal, in charge of the development of the game, have indicated that additional missions would be unlocked by advancing in the story and that they would be feasible in multiplayer.
Marvel’s Avengers will release on May 15, 2020 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google Stadia. Tell us, what do you think of what has emerged so far? Are you interested in the game?
