List of Nintendo Switch future games we want to see

The event that will reveal everything we want to know about the Nintendo Switch, it’s time to dream big and speculate a lot on what matters most to any new console: the games. Nintendo has released an extensive list of developers who will support the platform, but has given no confirmation about the games we’ll see on it. While we wait for the juicy details, why don’t you check out a list of games we want to see on the new device made by Nintendo?

Before you start reading, it’s good to know that you will not find titles like a “new 3D Mario”, a “new Smash Bros” or “Mario Kart”, not to mention The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which is already confirmed. Our goal here is to think about which games, apart from the obvious ones, would make Switch a great platform:

The Elder Scrolls 6

Well, we have already seen the remastering of Skyrim in the announcement trailer of Switch, we’ve seen that it looks pretty good and has a better chance to outshine on the platform. But since Bethesda has made it clear that it will support the Switch, nothing’s fairer than seeing the next game in The Elder Scrolls series on the console. And going out with the competition, or favor.

Grand Theft Auto VI

To date, we’ve only had one franchise of the title on Nintendo: GTA Chinatown Wars for DS. But as we can see Take-Two, producer of the series, is on the list of companies that will support the Switch, nothing is more fairer than waiting for the next game in the series on the console. Remembering that other Rockstar games, such as the remastering of Bully and Manhunt 2, have already been released for the Wii.

Bayonetta 3

Platinum has become one of the major partners of Nintendo in this latest generation, releasing great exclusives for Wii U. And let’s face it, if Bayonetta 2 was awesome, we want more that is to come from the third series.

Fatal Frame VI

It is a series of niche, however consecrated. The genre of survival horror as a whole has been little explored in recent times, especially with the cancellation of Silent Hills and the return of Resident Evil to the origins. In this sense, the next Fatal Frame can help to give a good diversity to the console, in addition to going against the brand that Nintendo consoles only have games for children.

F-zero

For 13 years we have not seen a new game from the F-Zero franchise, one of the most difficult racing series in the industry. It’s time to get one more, isn’t it?

Monster Hunter 5

Monster Hunter is the most successful third-party franchise on current Nintendo platforms, and one of the most difficult franchises ever created. In addition to being essential to the success of the console in the East, each new iteration of the series conquers more fans in the West.

Earthbound

It has been more than 10 years since the last game of the franchise, which came out in 2006 and only in Japan. Despite this, recently Nintendo relaunched Earthbound Begginings, the first game in the series that until then had only been played in the East, for the Virtual Console of Wii U. This shows that it still holds the franchise in mind.

Eternal Darkness 2

Eternal Darkness is one of the biggest classics on the Gamecube and one of the titles that best shows the different and unique side of Nintendo games, even when it’s a horror game. After all, bloody monsters are scary, but few things terrify both the player like a false message that their console is being formatted.

Last but not the least, a new IP of Nintendo

Without resuscitating older franchise, Nintendo should announce a new IP completely different from the yesteryears. We want something new, totally new. Nintendo needs to surprise us again.
