The outlook of Microsoft in the present generation of consoles is uncertain. The Americans will also strive to establish their ecosystem of games on Windows, thanks to a program (Play Anywhere) which is showing more than positive results. Much we fear is that its game store has little to do against the king of digital distribution. Will it be 2017 when we will see each and every title of the Xbox exclusives on Steam? An inevitable move from which all (studios and users) would benefit.
The next 12 months are thus crucial for an industry in full metamorphosis, after several generations of stagnation.
