Lightning Returns Final Fantasy XIII Performance, Lag, slow startup –

This issue is related to graphics driver incompatibility. You have to update your gpu drivers. You can download that from the official site of your graphics card manufacturer. If the game lags, try turning off background process. And then play it. Try to adjust the screen resolution to lowest in case the game is working slowly.

Game does not start offline –

If you had turned on Steam cloud saves, then the game might have issue working on offline mode. You will need an active internet connection to play the same. You can go in Steam > Library > Right click on the Game and there remove the tick from cloud save.

Lightning Returns Final Fantasy XIII FPS drop –

Fps drop is a common issue with many games. The most basic fix is to update the gpu driver as mentioned above. Second you can try playing with the graphic settings. Like, turning off things that you don’t need anymore. The game fps will rise slowly.

Common Fixes:

  1. Turn off the Antivirus or any security software you are using in PC. If any antivirus is turned on then it will cause the game to freeze on loading. Avast is causing issues with the game launch. Secondly, the issue can be also fixed by restarting Steam. You have to quit the game and then exit Steam. And then start the game back. The game also crashes if you are using overclocking application. Try to turn it off.
  2. If you are having resolution issues then start with updating the drivers first. That will help. Then you can try modifying the game’s graphic settings to get the desired resolution. There is a custom way of doing this. That means you can boost the resolution to 1080p but it is complicated.
