Konami is hiring developers for New Metal Gear

Last week, we learned from Hideo Kojima, the creator of Metal Gear, had definitely left Konami. Recently, the studio is recruiting for the development of a new installment in the franchise.

Nothing goes in the right direction for Konami: after trying to hide the discomfort between the studio and its favorite developer, Hideo Kojima, the firm had come on the scene with its lawyers to prevent it to go in person to the Games Awards 2015 to receive a price for Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain.

Last week, Hideo Kojima confirmed he left the studio and have engaged with Sony for the development of a new franchise. The departure of the developer was motivated by the fact that Konami wanted to stop investing fortunes in the development of AAA titles but was limited to remakes and mobile gaming outputs.

But the success of the last episode of Metal Gear from the studio changed everyone’s mind, and it is now well and truly a question of a new episode, but without Hideo Kojima at the controls. Moreover, the studio recently launched various ads to find people “for imagination without limits and with experience in developing large projects.”

Metal Gear saga is known for its rather complex scenario and its special atmosphere and a stage worthy of the best films. It will be complicated for Konami to maintain this atmosphere without Hideo Kojima, moreover, the fans may well sulk this next phase and move towards the next generation of the developer.
