Tatsumi Kimishima Mentions The Arrival of New Switch Games Not Yet Announced
We know that Nintendo plans to sell 20 million Nintendo Switch units during the current fiscal year, which will end March 31, 2019. It is a challenging goal, but according to President Tatsumi Kimishima, it is reachable thanks to a plan already drawn up meticulously.
The outgoing president of Kyoto says he is confident about it and makes it clear that the games needed to reach the goal are already scheduled, a probable referring to Pokemon for Switch and Metroid Prime 4, but probably also to others titles not yet announced but capable of driving sales of the console.
Kimishima then reiterated that “Nintendo is planning and developing video games targeted at people who have not been playing games recently, and games that people would potentially be interested in.”
Among the Nintendo games coming to Switch we mention Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Super Smash Bros, Metroid Prime 4 and Yoshi, recent rumors would be pointing out that the company is going to announce new episodes of Pikmin and Animal Crossing, but no confirmation has yet come about. Perhaps we will know more about it at E3 2018.
In the intentions of Kimishima, Switch will be supported for 7/10 years, although this idea will necessarily have to clash with the variable market conditions. In any case, Nintendo believes firmly on Switch and in its long-term success, the current plans provide full support for many more years.
