Gearbox has released a new video of Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak having a multiplayer game in the “Artifact Retrieval” mode. The gameplay is well demonstrated in this strategy game in real time which will be available today on PC.
Due for release on Wednesday 20 January 2016 on PC (via Steam download platform), Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak aims at providing a response to the series initiated in 1999 by Relic Entertainment. The studio Blackbird Interactive was responsible for the development of this real-time strategy game that takes place not in space, but on earth.
To get a better idea of the features offered by the game and the subtleties in strategy, the Gearbox Software publisher released a video of unprecedented gameplay and commentary of the multiplayer mode called “Artifact Retrieval”.
Although there is no 3D, but 2D maps, the game will mechanically very different from its predecessors, with a huge land transport and installation units in formation. The terrain will play a vital role when setting up your troops so that the game requires a 3D thinking.
Recall that for any pre-order of Homeworld: Deserts of Khuruk, Homeworld Remastered Collection will be offered.
Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak, once as Hardware: Shipbreakers announced, will be released on January 20, 2015 exclusively for the PC. The preloading is already possible. However, the download should only take comparatively 3.6 gigabytes on the hard drive. In addition to the features in the multiplayer mode clip presented, Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak will also have a comprehensive campaign of 13 missions for soloists.
