Hitman’s release date revealed, will be cut into episodes

Square Enix has provided some details about the changes that will be carried out for the next installment in the Hitman series: it will ultimately issue an episodic game, the prologue will arrive in March. Explanations are given below.

Hitman 2016

Awaited by fans of the adventures of Agent 47, the next installment in the Hitman series is due for release this year on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Always developed by the studio IO Interactive, the reboot of the franchise will finally propose a different distribution.

Indeed, the game will be divided into episodes, like titles such as Life is Strange or different game’s from Telltale Games studio. The first episode will be in the form of a prologue followed by the first contracts in Paris and will be marketed on 11 March 2016 at the price of 15 dollars.

In April, it will issue new missions in Italy, followed by new contracts in Morocco in May. The publisher intends to propose a new episode per month until the end of 2016 with a final destination in Japan. Each new mission will cost 10 dollars.

As long as you bought the prologue, it will be possible to buy an upgrade offering all destination, indicated at 50 dollars. For most patients, it will be possible to buy the game including all episodes at 60 dollars. Finally, the boxed version will come out in turn at the end of 2016.
