During his participation at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, Hideo Kojima spoke about his passion for cinema, and confessed that one day he would love to make a movie. At present, however, this is an impossible dream.
“I love movies, so definitely one day, I would love to. But right now, it’s impossible. At least until I finish Death Stranding, it’s impossible,” says Hideo Kojima. Moreover, the Japanese game director has quite accustomed to long waiting times also there for his games, as for the next title of Death Stranding (for which new details about the development ha been unveiled).
The author is primarily focused on the character played by Norman Reedus, specifying how the main character of the game has been designed from the outset to be interpreted by the famous American actor. In the reveal trailer of the title, the character is completely portraited naked: from now on, though, we will be presented with very different aesthetic look, with costumes, hairstyles and different equipment.
Kojima also expressed his satisfaction for taking this collaboration with real actors and established. Working in Computer Graphics, in fact, it turns out to be a static method and little stimulant: from any action, it achieves an absolutely predictable reaction. Through contact with real people, however, you have a chance to get out of the box, to attend to unexpected reactions, so as to expand the project than as initially thought.
