Halo Wars 2 will be playable at E3 2016
In the blog post in which 343 Industries gave more details on the next REQs for Halo 5: Guardians, the studio took the opportunity to confirm that Halo Wars 2 will be playable at E3 2016. Likewise, in the publication available in Halo Waypoint the development team suggests to have some surprises in door.
“The Halo Wars 2 team is anxiously gearing up for E3, where the game will indeed be playable. There’s also – well, I can’t talk about more just yet. To stay out of trouble, let’s get right into the Hog Wild REQ Drop” said 343 Industries.
As you remember, Microsoft announced in Gamescom 2015 that Creative Assembly (creators of Total War: Warhammer) collaborated with 343 Industries in the development of the sequel to the popular spin-off of Halo. At the moment there are few details on Halo Wars 2, but it is expected that this situation will change in E3 2016.
The first Halo Wars was developed by Ensemble Studios as a major exclusive for Xbox 360. The title is already backward compatible and fell in love by many combining the captivating universe of Halo with mechanical strategy game in real time.
In related news, last week Microsoft had said that it has no plans to bring Halo 5: Guardians to PC for the moment. That said, reports indicate that next titles in the franchise may not be exclusive to consoles.
