Rumor: GTA VI Will Release in 2022, Set in Vice City

The YouTube channel “The Know” (known for having revealed in advance the existence of Bloodborne, Dark Souls III, and other super secret projects) has published a video dedicated to Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI), a title that was never officially announced but apparently was under development already for some time.

According to reports, the project would be known with the codename of Project Americas and the release would be expected by the end of 2022 on platforms not specified yet, but which could however also include next-gen consoles such as PlayStation 5 and the next Xbox.

Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI) should be set in Miami and South America, although at the moment there are no more precise details about the historical period. There is, however, talk of two large areas open and connected to each other, freely explored by the player.

GTA VI should include, for the first time in the history of the series, a female character as a protagonist, but it is not clear if this will be flanked by other characters or if the character will act alone.

Although the source proved to be reliable in the past, there is currently no confirmation of the existence of Grand Theft Auto VI, Rockstar Games and Take-Two have not commented on this.

Grand Theft Auto VI is a long way to come. Rockstar is currently committed to closing down Red Dead Redemption 2, so let’s imagine that the new GTA will not be discussed in a few years, partly because the fifth chapter continues to grind incredible numbers.
