Gears of War: Ultimate Edition PC has issues with AMD Graphics Card
Now available on the Windows Store, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition encounters some technical problems on computer configurations equipped with AMD graphics cards. The development studio has spoken about it.
After a launch on Xbox One few months ago, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is available on PCs for quite some time only through the Windows Store. Also, the game supports Windows 10 and proves its expected level of graphics performance.
However, a few surprises are in order for first time buyers, as we learn that some graphics card owners of the AMD manufacturer are facing very poor performance, causing an extremely choppy framerate. For proof, just watch the video below.
The Coalition, the development studio of this reissued copy of game, spoke about it through the official forums of the game, stressing that they are working with AMD to address all of these problems. The firm said the problems mainly affect players that have a GPU based on the architecture GCN (Graphics Core Next) 1.1 and 1.2.
Pending the release of an update, The Coalition has advised players equipped with an AMD graphics card GCN 1.1/GCN 1.2 playing in a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels or less. Other concerns are also singled out, including the lack of SLI/Crossfire support, or the GSync technology from NVIDIA.
