GameStop denies reports of cancelled Nintendo Switch Pre-Orders
According to some recent rumors, some American retailers including GameStop USA and Target would have cancelled in recent hours many pre-orders of Nintendo Switch due to inability to meet all consumer demands.
Rumors quite recent have disturbed the sleep of many Nintendo fans who were quick to pre-order their Nintendo Switch console, regardless of the usual shortage of units, on day one of 3 March.
According to these rumors, GameStop and Target would have cancelled in a complete arbitrary pre-order of the Nintendo Switch because of the shortage of units sourced from the Big N.
A spokesman for GameStop USA, however, has categorically denied the report on the pages of GamesIndustry, stating that the store is not going to block or erase pre-order of Nintendo Switch: “GameStop has not, and is not, cancelling any Nintendo Switch pre-orders due to allocation issues. We are working very closely to confirm and validate any and all pre-orders of this innovative gaming system. Should any customer who pre-ordered a Nintendo Switch console from GameStop experience any issue with their order, we encourage them to contact our Guest Care team so we can help resolve the issue,” the representative said.
If there were really such problems, the store invites you to contact customer service to solve any problems related to the pre-orders of Nintendo Switch.
The American division of GameStop thus denies rumors that speak of a lack of availability of Switch at the launch, Target instead has not yet commented on the matter.
