We already knew that there would be some sort of limitation for the demo of Final Fantasy XV, which is going to be available only with the upcoming game of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. Recently, Square Enix has unveiled the collector’s edition of FF Type-0 HD and stated that FF XV: Episode Duscae – a playable demo – will only be included in the first batch distribution of FF Type-0 HD on PS4 and Xbox One.

It will cost €99.99 and will include a steel book that will contain the game and 15 songs selected by Takeharu Ishimoto, Type-0 HD composer, a manga of 200 pages, a 80-page artbook, 5 Ace cards and obviously the demo of Final Fantasy XV – Episode Duscae.
The collector’s edition will guarantee access to the demo, however, if you plan to take the normal version of FF Type-0 HD, you’ll need to be quick (or pre-order) to be sure to have the edition called “Day-one”, as specified by Square Enix on the US PlayStation blog:
“As Tabata-san said in a recent episode of Square Enix Presents, this demo is exclusive to Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. We’re never going to release it as a stand-alone piece down the line. Secondly, it’s intended to be a special gift for those of you who purchase early — the demo will be limited to the “Day One” edition of the game, meaning that only the first shipment is going to have the demo in it. So if the demo is something you think you might like, we highly encourage you to pre-order or to be quick about getting to the store on launch day, March 17th, 2015.”
If you are interested in the collector’s edition of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, you can pre-order it on the Square Enix store. Remember, FF Type-0 HD will be released on March 20, 2015 on PS4 and Xbox One.
Also, if by chance you had planned to drive the car from the sublime boy band most likely from the world of Final Fantasy XV, know that you will have to wait for the final release of the title, explanations given below.
It was during an interview with the website Polygon that the Director, Hajime Tabata, said they will not include car driving in the demo. Tabata told Polygon that “Originally we were planning on making the car be available to drive throughout the world and throughout the demo,”. “But we didn’t want people to mistake it and think ‘When did Final Fantasy become a driving game?'”
“You’ll be able to experience the starting point of what an open-world Final Fantasy would potentially feel like,” Tabata said. “You’ll really be able to experience that seamless Final Fantasy world within the demo itself, but then if you play it, you’ll still really get a sense that it’s a Final Fantasy game. You’ll get that balance within the demo.”
