Final Fantasy XV art director Isamu Kamikokuryo leaves Square Enix
Isamu Kamikokuryo has announced that he left work at Square Enix after 18 years in the company. Since 1999, Isamu has worked on various projects as an Art Director, among which we find Final Fantasy XV, Lightning Returns Final Fantasy XIII and The 3rd Birthday.

Isamu Kamikokuryo, art director in multiple games of the Final Fantasy saga, has announced that he has left work at Square Enix. His departure was effective yesterday, March 31, as revealed by himself only on his Twitter profile.
Kamikokuryo wrote in the tweet the following: “Yesterday, March 31, I resigned from Square Enix. It’s been a little over 18 years since I joined the company in 1999. It was a wonderful experience, from when I started with doing concept art for Final Fantasy X up until Final Fantasy XV. I am fully grateful to the company for giving me the opportunity to meet with so many people and demonstrate my talents.”
The curriculum of Kamikokuryo is really varied and includes projects such as Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy XIII-2 and the aforementioned Lightning Returns and Final Fantasy XV, a latecomer of Square-Enix.
The artist has decided to leave the company in search of new professional challenges, at the moment it is unclear who will occupy the role of Art Director in the coming month for the Japanese publisher projects related to Final Fantasy series.
