In a recent interview with Dengeki Playstation, the producer Yoshinori Kitase has announced that the voice recording of the main story of Final Fantasy VII Remake (probably referring to the first part, since the title will be released in more “episodes”) is almost complete.

These are the words of Yoshinori Kitase: “The voice actors are practically finished in recording voices for the main story. Fans might be picturing Cloud from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children for it, but it’s a Cloud in his “prime” from before Advent Children, so you might sense a fresh new performance from it.”

Last weekend, Square-Enix has released two new images of the game, but did not disclose further details about the project. Commenting on the main visual revealed last month: “I will leave the meaning of the Sephiroth that doesn’t exist in the original (the black wing?) to everyone’s imagination.”

Final Fantasy VII is currently in development for PlayStation 4, the launch window has not yet been communicated.
