The development studio Sushee confirmed that Fear Effect Sedna will be sold on PS4 and Xbox One in addition to the PC. To support this revelation, a gameplay video was unveiled.

Fear Effect Sedna

Unveiled last month, Fear Effect Sedna marks the return of the franchise that began in 2000 on PlayStation. Under development at the French studio Sushee, the title looks really like a Fear Effect 3, but as a spin-off that takes only the script written at the time for the third installment.

The development team has recently revealed the title, originally scheduled on PC, will also be adapted on PS4 and Xbox One. To mark the announcement, the studio released a first gameplay video after a prototype version of the game.

This allows us to get an idea of the game approach with its isometric view and inspiration that came from Shadowrun Returns. The battle system is real-time, but replays will be in order to take the time to analyze the situation to take cover or attack.

The developer has also said about its decision to further expand Fear Effect‘s output plans:

“Over the past few weeks, we had dozens of messages requesting a console port for Sedna. It was a difficult decision for us, because developing on PS4 or Xbox One requires a lot of work, and significant financial investment too. It was a tough job, and we had to make choices, but today we can officially announce that we will be porting the game on PS4 and Xbox One!”

Fear Effect Sedna has now raised more than 74,000 euros (about 100,000 euros required) on Kickstarter. If funding ends positively, the title will be released in May 2017 on the above mentioned platforms.
