Far Cry Primal Crash Fix, Low FPS Solution, Disk Write Error Workaround on PC, etc

Far Cry Primal today got launched on PC. This game brings a pre-historic Stone Age gameplay which is totally different from its previous series. However, with new gameplay mechanics, also there are many technical flaws in the game related to crash to desktop issue, low fps or stuttering problem, etc; on PC. Far Cry Primal Crash To Desktop Fix:
Some players have reported that playing this game on 1440p crashes the game to desktop. Reverting back to 1080p fixes the issue or else using Geforce experience also solves the problem. Turning off shadowplay in Uplay launcher is another solution.
Far Cry Primal “Something went wrong” or Won’t Start Solution:
For other players, Far Cry Primal won’t start or will give an error message saying that “Sorry, something went wrong, for solutions please visit…”. To solve this issue, just disable your firewall and restart your computer machine. Other fix is to launch Uplay in offline mode and then start the game from Steam client on your pc.
Far Cry Primal Disk Write Error Workaround:
Before downloading and installing Far Cry Primal in your pc, you need to ensure that you have disabled your Antivirus, Firewall or Windows Defender application, only after that start downloading the game. Other possible solution is to remove any external USB Drive or Hard Drive before beginning to install the game.
Far Cry Primal Error 88500014 Solution:
If you have Bitdefender installed in your machine then you might be getting this error code. To solve this, open the program and go to Firewall > Rules > Add a rule and then do this two times for the files namely “FCPrimal.exe” and “FCSplash.exe”. Just ensure that you have check marked “Allow” also these files. After that close Bitdefender and launch the game as usual.
If still, the game gets stucked while loading, ensure that Far Cry Primal is available for your region to play. Also, try to launch Uplay in offline mode and go back to Steam client and hit Play button.
Far Cry Primal SMAA Option Disabled Fix:
In the graphics options of the game if you are not able to use SMAA, then you will have to disable SLI configurations and run Far Cry Primal on single graphics card.
Far Cry Primal Low FPS or Performance Issue Solution:
There are many players who are playing this game with graphics card such as GTX Titan, GTX 980 Ti and GTX 980 facing problems with low FPS or performance issue. It is noted that soon soon a new game update is going to release to fix this problem. Also Nvidia is releasing a new driver version for Far Cry Primal to optimize the game.
Far Cry Primal Stuttering/Flickering Workaround:
If you are using SLI or Crossfire configurations on your machine, then you might face stuttering or flickering issue. So, to solve this issue, as a temporary solution, you need to disable the same feature by going to the Video Card Control Panel, until a new patch is released to fix this issue permanently.
Far Cry Primal No Sound Fix:
To fix this problem, simply right click on your sound icon located in quick launch at bottom right corner, and the choose Playback Devices. After that click on Speaker > Properties and then go to Dolby tab and disable it. Now you need to go to Advanced tab and select the lowest sample rate, click apply and click ok.
