EA attacks CoD: Infinite Warfare through the Twitter account of Titanfall
We know that the marketing department is often far from the studio that develops a game, and something similar happened with the Twitter account of Titanfall, that in the launch of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, began to throw some hints against the shooter from Activision and Infinity Ward, calling it “mostly slow & plodding” compared with Titanfall 2.
So, as a whole troll, the Twitter account of Titanfall remained all day throwing criticisms including references to Infinite Warfare, while showing some of the reviews that rated best to Titanfall 2.
One is “mostly slow & plodding” while the other’s “frantic precision is electrifying”– you decide: https://t.co/QkynZOXgpn #MakeTheRightCall pic.twitter.com/aAHWbrZQ2y

But nevertheless, something entirely different happened in the official account of Respawn Entertainment. Through Twitter, the team behind the development of Titanfall 2 congratulated Infinity Ward for the release of their latest game. “Congrats to our good friends at Infinity Ward on a great launch! We’re looking forward to playing with you this weekend.”

What was it that happened here? The answer lies with the Respawn producer, Drew McCoy, who explained that they do not handle the account Titanfall. “For those asking, EA runs the Titanfall twitter account,” he said.

Finally, Respawn distanced itself from comments by he EA account of Titanfall, noting that the development team feels respect and affection for its colleagues at Infinity Ward.
For the record: @respawn is the official voice of Respawn studio. We have nothing but respect & love for our fellow devs.

It is not the first time this has happened. The competition is part of the marketing companies, but between studios and directors often exists friendship, especially if we remember that the team of Respawn comes from Infinity Ward.
Another example of this is the respect and friendship that showed in its time by Neil Druckmann and Sam Lake earlier this year, during the launch of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Quantum Break.
