Disney Infinity Servers To Shut Down in March 2017
Disney Infinity begins the cessation of its services in a phased manner with a complex agenda that varies depending on system (consoles, mobile devices and PC have different destinations). In addition, PC users will have to consider where they bought the game: Steam version only continues to operate indefinitely, as on the consoles.
Thus the world of Disney Infinity will close its servers on September 30 on PC, iPhone/iPad, Apple TV and Android. PC users, though, will have to consider where they bought the game: if you bought it on the Disney website the game will not be playable in any way since September 30; if you bought it in the Windows Store it will stop working on March 3, 2017, if you bought it on Steam the game will continue to operate indefinitely without any online service from March 3, 2017.
In addition, since yesterday you can no longer purchase downloadable content made by Disney Infinity 2.0 on PC, iOS, Android and Apple TV. They are still available in Disney Infinity 3.0.
From October 1 PC users will continue to buy on Steam Disney Infinity 2.0 and Disney Infinity 3.0, but no longer work on communities or other online services. They also operate the Toy Boxes, as new content of this type for inclusion in the title will no longer be reviewed or consoles, or PC or on mobile devices. PC users and Apple TV can download the Toy Boxes that is published until March 3, 2017.
As for purchases contained in the version of Steam of Disney Infinity 3.0 will be continued to be made until January 3. The game completely closed their servers on March 3, 2017: it will no longer be available in digital stores and all online services will be inoperative. We remind you that on mobile devices, Apple TV and the PC version of Windows Store and Disney’s own website will stop working. From that date, the console versions (plus Steam version) will still work, but will not have any online service.
