Hideo Kojima, creator of Metal Gear Solid, said that Death Stranding, his new project, will be launched before 2019.

Death Stranding is a project around which it hovers mystery increasingly. During one event internship at the Tokyo Game Show, Kojima, father of the Metal Gear saga and creator of this new IP has provided several new details to his new title.

While the casting stages for the other characters continues, the protagonist played by Norman Reedus was confirmed to be the main protagonist of the adventure, but has not been excluded by adding a heroine who can accompany him in narrative events and gaming. The title will also present a new way to interpret the co-op component in a video game, but Kojima himself has confirmed that it will be a totally approachable individual title.

Despite this, it was stated that the concept of gameplay involves some kind of ‘connection’ between people. Kojima also said to be completely alien to Metal Gear Survive, the new spin-off title of Konami for which the first gameplay video was published yesterday. For the Japanese game designer, Metal Gear is a saga based on espionage and political fiction, and has nothing to do with the zombies.

Finally, it was confirmed that the date of publication of Death Stranding has already been established, and is placed before the Olympic Games in Tokyo (2020) and the first year in which the Japanese animated film Akira is set (2019), which leads us, presumably, 2018.

“It will be out before the Olympics,” Kojima said, referring to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. “To go a little further, there is a movie called Akira, and it will be out before the year in which Akira is set.”

Death Stranding will come to PlayStation 4 and PC. It will be an open world action game, it will be played by actor Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead) and will include a “unique” cooperative way. Beyond these few data there was not much revealed about its gameplay features and history.
