While the project of Dead Island 2 may not be lead, the publisher Deep Silver has announced the upcoming release of Dead Island: Definitive Collection, a compilation of Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide (and all DLC) in the same packages.

Provided on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, this edition will offer enhanced textures, including a higher resolution. The lighting system has also been widely enriched, thus allowing more successful environments. 3D models have also gained in quality.

For owners of PS4, this edition of the game will allow remote play on PS Vita and features of Share Play. As for a small detail that has its importance, the mod Power Fists will be integrated, and with another bonus: Dead Island Retro Revenge. This is as an action game in scrolling horizontal.

Dead Island: Definitive Collection will be marketed on 31 March 2016 on the above-named platforms at a price of 40 dollars, in the physical format. For lovers of dematerialized format, both games will be sold separately at a cost of 20 dollars per game, but note that you will not get the Retro Revenge.
