Cyberpunk 2077 Producer Talks about Rich Areas & Law Enforcement of Night City

Cyberpunk 2077 will soon show a huge 15-minute demonstration in which we will know more about its gameplay and its rich cyberpunk universe. A universe that will have rules and strong vigilance, and in which if we decide to go against the police and their control, we will pay dearly. This is explained by Richard Borzymowski, producer of the video game at CD Projekt RED.

“In Pacifica (one of the poorer areas) you could probably shoot someone, and if nobody would see then nobody would care,” says Borzymowski. “If you would do that in the City Center you would probably get some law enforcement. Because those areas are way more patrolled. The crowds will act and dress differently. You might hear more languages, for example Japanese might be a prominent language, because the Japanese are considered upper class in the universe.”

In this way, the Night City districts and their classes, social strata and behaviors, will be closely linked, creating a rich panorama to which we must adapt to avoid being stopped by the police at the first exchange. In fact, if we get caught doing some stumbling, we will pay dearly. “Your options are to run away, fight them and then run away, or fight them, fight them, fight them, and then die,” he concluded.

Cyberpunk 2077 will release on April 16, 2020 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
