CD Projekt RED has recently brought some information about the state of development of Cyberpunk 2077, the upcoming RPG game from Polish studio. Announced for the first time in 2012, Cyberpunk 2077 is revealed as a rather ambitious game. Indeed, the title is based on the famous role-playing game and promises from many advanced game mechanics.

CD Projekt RED is responsible for its development, but the team was focused lately on the development of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and the expansion of Hearts of Stone. Part of the studio is again preparing for Blood and Wine, the second paid extension of the adventures of Geralt of Rivia, but we learn that the design of Cyberpunk 2077 is also accelerating.

Michal Nowakowski, senior vice president of business and publishing at CD Projekt, said at the site GamesRadar that “The team is divided right now…There’s a sizable team still working on [The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine], but an even more sizable team has actually been working on Cyberpunk for quite a while right now.”

Indeed, Marcin Iwinski of CD Projekt RED announced in June 2015 that more and more developers are now turning to the Cyberpunk 2077 draft.

Nowakowski added that if the work is in progress for three years, the state of development is still very premature. No indication was filtered on a release date for the game, or even any confirmation on affected platforms. We will certainly know more about Cyberpunk 2077 after the release of the second extension of The Witcher III game in the first quarter of 2016.
