Cuphead has already sold 1 million copies on PC and Xbox One

During its first 4 days on the market, Cuphead sold more than 125,000 copies on Steam. Of course, this is not a big surprise, as the indie title was one of the most anticipated games for this year.

Now, 2 weeks after its release, Studio MDHR posted a special message, as Cuphead has already reached its first million copies sold on Xbox One and PC.

From the studio page, Chad and Jared Moldenhauer, creators of the game, confirmed this new achievement in sales. They also thanked everyone for making Cuphead’s great success possible.

“Hello friends! Cuphead has only been out for two weeks and we never could have dreamed of the reception we’ve received from our amazing fans! Today, we wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for your support and we’re excited to share that Cuphead has gone platinum with over 1 million units sold!” the developers said.

Later, they recapitulated all the effort involved in the creation of this title, which was revealed since 2015. In addition, they shared a special illustration where we see the main characters of the title.

“We have worked tirelessly over the past few years to deliver a game that remained true to our vision and we are both humbled and excited that so many people from around the world are playing Cuphead – it truly makes it all worth it.”

Apparently, there is still a long way to go for Cuphead. This is what we say as Studio MDHR is contemplating on an online multiplayer mode in the future. In addition, he also plans an indie physical release.

How did you like the game so far? What do you think about its new sales achievement?
