The first mascot of the development studio Naughty Dog, Crash Bandicoot marked the owners of the PlayStation console. This little hero was at the heart of the platform that was rather enjoyable to play offering a viewing angle rather original.

If the license is now back in favor of other Naughty Dog licenses such as Uncharted and The Last of Us, a fan known as Anisotropic with the pseudonym is working on its own version of Crash Bandicoot running on the graphics engine of Unreal Engine 4.

The current gameplay is highlighted in the video below. The result obviously reveals improved graphics, but the basics are proving quite effective. For now, the developer has not yet planned to release a download version of this modded game.

It now remains to see if Activision (holder of the trademark rights) can somehow find themselves interested in what may be a hypothetical enthusiastic response from the users gaming towards the old icon of the world of PlayStation.
