Bandai Namco has released the first gameplay video for Code Vein, the new Action RPG title developed by God Eater Team coming to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in 2018. The video finally allows us to see the title in action: you can find the gameplay video at the end of this news.
Code Vein is a new action RPG game, developed by the team that introduces you to the God Eater series, which promises to arouse the curiosity of fans of Dark Souls or Bloodborne.
After the promotional trailer, Bandai Namco presents now the first gameplay of this action game that seems to put a visual anime style on top of a Dark Souls style experience.
Set in the not too distant future when a mysterious disaster brought the world on the brink of disaster as we know it, Code Vein is an Action RPG game in the third person that puts players in the shoes of a Revenant. After coming across in Vein, players will be asked to venture into the gaming world with a companion, chosen from among the various residents of Vein, to uncover lost memories and escape this crazy reality.
In the first trailer of Code Vein we could already see some of its playable side, however in this trailer it is shown directly. The notorious influence of the Soulsborne is undeniable.
In just two minutes we can take a look at some of the enemies in the title. Through a system of careful and dynamic combat, the calculation of the timings will be crucial to get out of the situation. We also see how the protagonist makes use of two different weapons, sword and spear. As in Souls, the use of one type of weapon or another can change the dynamics of a combat.
Please note that Code Vein will support the extra power of Xbox One X, the title will be also released on PC and PS4 in 2018.
