Chrono Trigger’s Millenial Fair Recreated in Unreal Engine 4, new images and video revaled
A 3D artist is working on the creation of the first part of the village of Chrono Trigger with the Unreal Engine 4. The rendering is faithful to the RPG from Square Enix on Super NES, leaving us dream about the possibility of a remake.
Originally released in 1995 on Super NES, Chrono Trigger is a popular RPG game from Square Enix. The stock has benefited from several reissues, remakes but it never came true. Michael Barrington, a 3D artist, has designed the game by turning it on the Unreal Engine 4, the graphics engine from Epic Games.
Of course, Barrington wanted to pay tribute to the popular role playing genre lovers. Also, it has retained the air angle for his works around the Millennium Village Festival of Crono, namely Truce.
The graphics rendering is significant, showing animations of the environment and proper modeling and vibrant colors.
Video and pictures shown below suggest that a remake in good standing may not be a bad idea. The reworked musical theme comes from the OST called Chrono Trigger: The Brink of Time.
