Capcom Celebrates 20th Anniversary of Resident Evil

It has been 20 years for Resident Evil to be out, the famous survival horror of Capcom that marked many players with its atmosphere and its largely horrific gameplay based on a very French license, Alone in the Dark.

Designed by a Shinji Mikami, Resident Evil (Biohazard in its original title) scored points from many gamers, including thrill seekers. This representative of the survival horror marked the date of March 22, 1996 with a hot iron, as the immersion of this adventure to the side of Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield that was palpable.

For connoisseurs, Resident Evil has nothing innovated since its gameplay is modeled largely on Alone in the Dark, game of Infograme directed by Frederick Raynal in 1992.

Anyway, Resident Evil celebrates twenty years now , allowing us to recall the great moments in the franchise, especially with Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, but also the excellent remake of the first game on GameCube (and now current platforms) or Resident Evil Code Veronica.

Most unfortunately, the franchise has also experienced less significant components, including those who opted for a rail-shooter type of gameplay or the most recent episodes (Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil 6) have lost our mood towards an action dimension, almost turning to the third person shooter franchise.

Also taking advantage of this anniversary to remember that Capcom will announce a potential Resident Evil 7 this year, perhaps during E3 2016 with a little luck.
