Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will require Infinite Warfare disc
Activision revealed that you must insert a copy of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare on your console to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered has become the biggest incentive for the acquisition of the new installment of the franchise: Infinite Warfare. However, the price of both is somewhat prohibitive, becoming a barrier for those who are only interested in the remastering. Being a downloadable code, you hope to play regardless of Infinite Warfare remained high, but the company has ditched the root of the matter.
Recently, the company updated the official website of the game and added the following legal information: “Modern Warfare Remastered is a full game download (game disc must be inserted to play Modern Warfare Remastered). Internet connection required.”
This means that if you get rid of the disc, not only you will lose access to Infinite Warfare, but also the remastering of the old FPS. Obviously, the above will not be a problem in the case of digital edition, because there will be no discs for the media.
Modern Warfare Remastered will be only available as part of the premium edition of Infinite Warfare, whose starting price is $80 USD. Surely, Activision implemented this security measure to prevent those interested only in the remastering could resell their copy.
Until now, the company has not disclosed whether Modern Warfare Remastered will be released separately at some point. Meanwhile, Infinite Warfare is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on November 4.
