Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2v2 Gunfight Multiplayer Mode Detailed
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is an explicit attempt by Infinity Ward to return to the glories of the series, re-proposing its historical DNA. This umpteenth “Modern Warfare”, in fact, is defined as a soft reboot, or a work that does not want to abandon what has been done previously but more than anything else trying to construct over a new future. To reach this future, Infinity Ward has several cartridges in its weapon: one of these is the Gunfight mode.
Gunfight is a PvP 2v2 multiplayer mode. Two teams of two players face off in a very small area. For now, three maps have been announced: “King” (The interior of a warehouse), “Pine” (The exterior of a dense forest) and “Stack” (A desert container yard). A round is very short, only 40 seconds, and this, combined with the small size of the map and the poor health of the characters (which obviously does not recharge) causes the clashes to be resolved in a few moments.
What happens if time expires? A flag appears in the center of the area: if you can reach it and defend it for three seconds, you win. Another key feature of Gunfight is that each round begins with a random set of weapons, identical for all four players. In one round everyone could have a sniper rifle and a shotgun, the next one could all have grenade launchers and Molotov cocktails, and so on.
The skill with the weapons obtained is fundamental but also taking advantage of the small map is important. It is, in fact, possible to climb on objects that are not too high (the cut is realistic, you will not jump meters and meters) and take advantage of the environment to your advantage.
The Gunfight mode, of course, is not the only one present within Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. According to the pro-players who are currently testing the game, Infinity Ward will reveal more details on August 1st.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will release on October 25 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Tell us, what do you think of Gunfight mode in COD: Modern Warfare?
