Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night delayed to 2018
If you were waiting for the release of the next title of Koji “IGA” Igarashi, Bloodstained Ritual of the Night, we have some bad news for you, because the game was delayed until the first half of 2018.
During the last video update for supporters of the Kickstarter campaign, Koji Igarashi announced that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will not come out in March 2017, as originally planned, but in 2018.
Via the Kickstarter page of the project, IGA explained that more time will be needed to improve the quality of the game and deliver the best possible version. Likewise, he also commented that it will receive a new development team to help with the progress of Bloodstained Ritual of the Night.
“Things have progressed in developing Bloodstained, but between our current production and the release date, I realized that at this rate the game could not reach quality standards,” said IGA. “I decided to add a new development team to the main production and improve our approach and keep the game completely as I can imagine.”
“While the release date is not yet established, we are aiming for the first half of 2018. I apologize for the wait,” added IGA.
Originally, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night was planned to debut in March 2017 in Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Wii U and PC. Currently Bloodstained Ritual of the Night is without a release date, the launch is scheduled tentatively for the first months of 2018.
