Battlefield 1 Patch 1.05 significantly improves frame rate of PS4
Battlefield 1, shooter from DICE set during the First World War, has received an update at the end of 2016. If until now the changes had left feelings, colleagues from Digital Foundry have dissolved all doubt realizing a video comparison between the pre and post patch versions on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
As it is immediately visible from the graphic overlay, the version for the Sony console has a much improved framerate that, during the phases of the game proposed by video, it never drops below 60fps. The achievement of this objective seems to have been reached with the most frequent introduction of dynamic resolution, although not specified in what quantity. The version of Xbox One, however, enjoyed generally better performance in the launch, and although the patch further optimizes the gaming experience, the changes have not had the same impact than seen on PlayStation 4.
In addition, contrary to what is often found, the patch seems to have no contraindications of any kind, demonstrating the ability of DICE to clean the product. The developer continues to support the shooter with new content, and on January 18 is coming soon the new mode of gameplay called Bleed Out.
Indeed, DICE has announced two update for Battlefield 1: the first, arriving on January 18 which introduces a new mode and the second of which no details were released which will arrive in February.
Battlefield 1 is available for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
