Gearbox has unveiled a major update for its multiplayer shooter Battleborn, which will be available over the winter. Although the game was considered “a disappointment” by the same publisher Take-Two, Gearbox has rightly decided to continue to support Battleborn with the addition of new content.

But there’s more: to entice players to return to play there will be new daily quests, new loot, a reworked credit system. For further details, see the related post on the official website.

Specifically, at the end of the prologue it will be now possible to unlock all 25 characters, also it will introduce new skins, challenges rebalanced, a general improvement in the story mode, new rewards, PvP training and the new Dojo to train against bots. Even the graphical interface will be slightly revised, also the Command Rank will be increased to 150, and finally will add new objects in the Story Mode and in the marketplace.

Also confirmed is the support for PlayStation 4 Pro with the ability to select between two display modes: 1080p/60 fps and 4K (non-native)/30 fps. Tomorrow (on Thursday, December 8), Gearbox will hold a streaming presentation of the Winter Update, the update will be published in the coming days, probably early next week.
