Batman Arkham Studio Hiring Project Manager Specializing in Games As A Service

After publishing Batman Arkham VR, the Rocksteady team has disappeared from the spotlight, but this does not mean that the English company is not working on a new project. Recently the company hired Zach Pond, Product Manager who has already worked closely with Warner Bros in the past.

According to the LinkedIn profile of Zach Pond, the Product Manager specializes in “GaaS” (Games As A Service) and has worked with WB on projects such as Injustice 2 and Middle-earth: Shadow of War, implementing microtransactions and in-game consumables.

The work of Pond allowed Warner Bros to earn over five million dollars in microtransactions from Injustice 2 and eight million from Middle-earth: Shadow of War.

In all probability, it should be argued that the next game of the Batman Arkham studio might integrate a microtransaction system that will follow that of the aforementioned productions, but at the moment there are no precise details about it.

According to some rumors, the English team would be working on a game dedicated to Superman or on a wider Suicide Squad themed-game, but we are still waiting for official announcements about it.

In short, as was obvious, Warner Bros. has not given up the economic model of Games As A Service, which we will see applied in the next title of Rocksteady. Did anyone doubt it? Let us know about your opinion in the comments below.
