Batman: Arkham Knight cancelled for Linux or Mac OSX

Warner Bros has recently announced the development of Batman Arkham Knight versions for Mac OSX and Linux is simply canceled.

Available since June 2015, Batman Arkham Knight met with many setbacks on its PC version (Windows). Indeed, it proved poorly optimized and included a series of bugs and other technical problems. Following a withdrawal of the game from the sale and development of multiple patches, the game is now playable in an acceptable way on our configurations.
While Mac owners and other GNU/Linux distributions users awaited the arrival of game from Rocksteady for their OS, Warner Bros has revealed at the game’s forum on Steam that these versions are proved to be just canceled.
“We are very sorry to confirm that Batman: Arkham Knight will no longer be coming to Mac and Linux. If you have pre-ordered Batman: Arkham Knight for Mac or Linux, please apply for a refund via Steam.”
The publisher has invited players who pre-ordered the game to claim a refund on Valve’s platform.
The console version was developed by Rocksteady Studios, while the PC version was developed by Iron Galaxy Studios. On the Mac, it’s Feral Interactive who had to take care of porting.
No real explanation was given for the cancellation, but it is very likely that Warner Bros. does not wish to reiterate the concerns repeatedly encountered on the grind dedicated to Windows.
