Backup or Transfer Fallout Shelter Save Game Files between devices
Fallout Shelter game is released for Android and iOS devices. The game is easy to play and offers a decent storyline. But at some point you if you want to reset your device or if anything goes wrong then there are chances that you would end up losing all your progress in Fallout Shelter. So, it will be a good idea to backup your Fallout Shelter save game file eventually. That is quite possible in Android and iOS both. You just need a good file manager application like ES File explorer that can do this job easily.
With ES File explorer application you can manually backup the save game file and restore it on any other device or put it back even after installing this game in case you had formatted your phone. Checkout the steps to backup Fallout Shelter Save game file below:
- Download ES File Explorer from Google Play.
- Start the application. And then from the left menu choose SDCard.
- After that look for Android folder. Tap on Data.
- From here you will find a folder where the save game data is stored, that is; /storage/sdcard/android/data/com.bethsoft.falloutshelter/files/VaultX.sav. Inside here, the save data is actually the .sav extension and by default the name of the save game file of Fallout Shelter is vaultx.sav.
You can easily copy and move this file to different devices to share your save game. But remember that if you had done some in-game purchase then that will also transfer. It is good for those who just want to keep the backup of this save data incase anything goes wrong or you want to format your phone due to some reason.
