Assassin’s Creed Syndicate to have 100% Optional Microtransactions, Ubisoft explains
During a session of questions/answers between Marc-Alexis side, Jonathan Dumont, Lydia Andrew, Francois Pelland and readers of IGN US, employees of Ubisoft have confirmed microtransactions within Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. Some other new information and clarifications are also filtered.
According to the producer Francois Pelland, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate again contains a shop of paid options, but built on the same model as in previous Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Unity. It will therefore be entirely optional micro-payments only for some players who do not wish to explore the game from top to bottom, to have all the same access to certain content one needs to spend much time walking on the streets of London. On the other hand, according to creative director side, opening certain chests in turn will ask to have just unlocked the talent of crocheting and therefore does not require passage by a Companion App, unlike Unity.
About Evie and Jacob Frye, Marc-Alexis side confirms that it will be possible to freely move from one character to another like GTA V, but the player will impose one of the two if the launched mission requires it. It will be also possible to customize outfits and weapons of each of them and both twins have the same affinity with weapons handling and therefore will not have any specific equipment.
Finally on the city of London, we learn that the districts of the English capital will be differentiated by their architecture, which will encourage the player to adopt different styles of play depending on the nature of the environment, such as the width of the streets, height of buildings, etc. The train, which will be your mobile base, mark seven different stops in London and will be in the evolution as the player progresses in the game. It will however not be possible to visit London Zoo animal.
The release of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is scheduled for October 23 2015 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and November 19 2015 on PC.
