Analyst Michael Pachter says PC Gamers are “Like Racists” and “Arrogant Twits”
Now that Sony has announced the PlayStation 4 Pro, some wonder whether the new console will appeal to the players in PC market. Michael Pachter, for example, belongs to the group of experts whose opinion is that it will not.
And if already there was not enough controversial, Michael Pachter now finds itself involved in a controversial new situation after leaving harsh words to PC players, considerinf them to be arrogant. In an interview on the PlayStation 4 Pro and whether it would be able to appeal to PC gamers, the words of Pachter were nothing tender.
In a recent interview, the analyst said that this kind of players have a great conviction, and that hardly turns their gaze to other platforms. To do this, however, Pachter made a strange comparison:
“I think PC Gamers are like racists; they only like their own kind and they have no interest in venturing out and mixing with other races,” he said. “PC gamers are arrogant twits who are convinced what they do is better than what anybody else can possibly do.”
Although Pachter’s words were somewhat harsh, it seems that- besides drawing attention – his purpose was to make it clear that the PS4 is directed to another group: “However if you were an Xbox owner and you’ve always wondered what it’s like to be a PlayStation owner, this is a great opportunity,” he added. “And I think if you’re not a [next-gen] console owner at all – which would include a subset of PC users – this is the one you would buy. This [PS4 Pro] is the obvious choice.”
What do you think? Do you agree with the statements of Pachter?
