AMD: Radeon Software Update 17.9.2 enables support for RX Vega mGPU
AMD will soon release the Radeon Software 17.9.2 drivers, the drivers designed to support multi-GPU configurations based on the AMD RX Vega and a graph has been published with the improved performance that it will offer.
AMD today announced the availability of the new Radeon Software 17.9.2, which will be able to configure the new Radeon RX Vega video cards in multi-GPU (mGPU) mode.
The drivers for the AMD RX Vega are not exactly the best drivers developed by AMD, as they are giving many performance problems and some software problems.
AMD would be finalizing the new releases of Radeon Software, specifically with the version 17.9.2, which would have a great novelty and very important, driver support for multi-graphics card configurations, yes, configurations based on Vega. Logically, some improvements will also be implemented in terms of optimization for games and the correction of some problems.
Thanks to the new update, you will be able to take advantage of the power of two RX Vega 56 or RX Vega 64 to get superior power and performance and have fun with your favorite video games as high as possible and with even greater details.
The impact of this performance update is remarkable: As shown in the chart above, the tests conducted by the AMD Performance Labs have recorded 80% higher performance with Radeon Software 17.9.2 and two Radeon RX Vega 64 in mGPU mode, in games like Far Cry Primal, Metro Last Night Redux, Sniper Elite 4 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
