How to Transfer Your Nintendo Switch Games to Switch Lite

What steps must be followed to move our digital games from Nintendo Switch to the new machine of Switch Lite? The first thing is to transfer our save games. There is only one way to do it, and unfortunately, it is paid. We have to subscribe to the Nintendo Switch Online service and use the cloud save service.

Luckily it is not very expensive, it allows us to play with others over the Internet and includes “free” games of NES and SNES. Once we have the games saved on Nintendo Online, we can begin the process of moving the main account from Switch to Switch Lite. The first thing is to access the eShop and delete the “old” console registry as the main one.

Next, in Nintendo Switch Lite we have to create our profile, with the same original account data and the same Nintendo account profile. Upon entering the eShop our new console will be registered automatically as the main console. From that moment, we can download our digital games again.

From Nintendo Online we can now download the saved games. And again, we remind you that all users created in the main console (which should be our Switch Lite) will have access to the content we have downloaded. It is a cumbersome process, but it is the best way to make sure that we are going to get the most out of the portable console.
