Among the titles that will be supported for its visual aspects improved on PlayStation 4 Pro is Titanfall 2, although the producer of this release, Drew McCoy, said that the game will not have native 4K, and which in fact made him very surprised if AAA titles reach that standard resolution.
Drew McCoy (Executive Producer of Respawn Entertainment ) revealed some details about the optimization of Titanfall 2 for PlayStation 4 Pro, confirming what was already said in the past, or that the game will not turn at 4K native on the new console of Sony.
Concerning about Titanfall 2, McCoy said: “It’s not native 4K, and And I would be surprised if anyone saw native 4K with AAA level games any time soon. It just takes so much processing power. It’s unbelievable amounts of just GPU grunt to do that [native 4K].”
In September, President of PlayStation, Andrew House, announced that most of the games for PlayStation 4 would be scaled to 4K; however, Microsoft declared that the first-party titles of Project Scorpio itself will run natively in 4K.
Moreover, McCoy said in his remarks that the extra power of PlayStation 4 Pro allows you to maintain greater stability in the frame rate goal of the game, which is 60 fps.
Titanfall 2 will be available from October 28, but PlayStation 4 will not come until November 10 in some markets.
