According to the chief marketing executive of Bethesda, Pete Hines, The Elder Scrolls VI is not in development at this time. Perhaps this is not the news that the fans expected; however, the developer had clarified last week that there was a long time for a sequel in the franchise.
After the huge success of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, there is no doubt that the sixth installment will come in the distant future. Pending the remastering of Skyrim in the near future, Bethesda in the words of Pete Hines has said that the company is not currently working on a sequel to The Elder Scrolls, which is expected by users.
The declaration of Hines appeared on Twitter during the weekend and though the words sound strong, we do not believe that they will not develop the next installment of the franchise at some point.
@HotShame0 we aren’t working on TES6 at the moment

Meanwhile, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, originally released in 2011, sold over 20 million copies and became a revolution in the field of PC gaming, so it seems unlikely that Bethesda is not thinking to make a new chapter of this saga.
For now, fans will be definitely satisfied with the new remastered version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, which will arrive in October this year.
