Phil Spencer reveals why the full version of Halo 5: Guardians is not on PC

Halo 5: Guardians has been available on Xbox One since 2015 and some users have wondered why the title has not completely reached PC. As you know, on PC there is a component of the creation of levels, worlds and game modes called Halo 5: Forge but there are those who would like the full title. Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, has talked on this matter.

In an interview conducted by PC Gamer to Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, talked about the problems related to the absence of Halo 5: Guardians on PC and in that sense the Xbox boss stated, “Honestly the answer with Halo 5 is, I can go take last year’s game, rework it to go on PC, or I can have 343 looks forward in what they’re going to go do.”

At the same time, the Xbox boss mentioned that, regardless of the decision made regarding Halo 5: Guardians on PC, they put the basic title tools in the Halo 5: Forge portion to see their performance, “You could say I’m cheating a little bit by doing a half thing with putting Forge on PC, because we kind of have the tools working on PC to see what happens.”

Later, Phil Spencer remembered that this type of decision was also taken with the Forza series with the launching of the version Apex on PC, which resulted in the games of the franchise to also reach the platform. Finally, the Xbox boss mentioned that there is no ideological reason behind the absence of Halo 5: Guardians on PC.

A few days ago, Phil Spencer stated that 343 Industries and The Coalition is already working on its next project. Spencer said he recently visited The Coalition and 343 Industries, the studios behind the licenses of Gears of War and Halo respectively and according to him, the work done by the two studios that he could see is incredible.
