No plans to launch NieR: Automata DLC
NieR: Automata is now available on PlayStation 4 and fans are more than pleased with the Platinum Games title. However, if anyone is hoping to continue the story of the characters there is bad news, as the studio has no plans to launch a DLC.
Available from a few days on the PlayStation 4, Nier: Automata has received a very positive reception from the specialized and critical players. The title of Platinum Games, however, will not receive any DLC in the future, as confirmed by the director Yoko Taro at the PAX East in Boston.
Recently, the game director Yoko Taro explained in a round of questions and answers in PAX East 2017 that, due to budget problems, it will be difficult to create new content for NieR: Automata. He revealed that there is no team to take on more DLC, even though Yosuke Saito had expressed an interest in bringing additional content to the game.
If nothing else, we are certain, as always by the reviews and all those who are testing the game right now, that Nier: Automata is already full of content and material to be discovered, so even if there are no DLC, it would not seem a serious lack. Of course, when the title became a commercial success, something could get there, you never know.
On the other hand, Taro was questioned about the possibility of seeing a collection of the Drakengard series. Faced with this, he said he is aware of the wishes of the fans, but made it clear that Square Enix has the last word, so he asked the players to send messages to the company, to give the green light to the project.
NieR: Automata debuted on March 7 for PlayStation 4, while the PC version will be available on March 17th.
