Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom Delayed to March 2018

Through a statement, Bandai Namco Entertainment reported that Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom suffered a further delay. For this reason, the JRPG will not arrive on January 19 as planned.

As reported by the distributor, the new release date of Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom for PlayStation 4 and PC is March 23, 2018. This means that fans will have to wait approximately 2 months longer than expected to put their hands on the new project of Level-5.

Along with the statement, Bandai Namco shared a message from Akihiro Hino, president and CEO of Level-5. He explains that the change in the release date is because his team needs additional development time to ensure that Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is the experience that fans are waiting for.

“The development of our latest project Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is coming along very well and we can’t wait to share this new adventure with you our fans. In an effort to constantly innovate and bring new experiences to players, we’ve also implemented new modes in Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom including the new Skirmish and Kingdom Modes which will surely delight players. However, with innovation and new ideas come the need to ensure everything works together in a fun and cohesive package. This means we’ll need a bit more time to make sure the entire Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom experience meets Level-5 and Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc.’s high-quality standards. So today I would like to ask for everyone’s patience as we move Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom’s worldwide release date to 23rd March 2018 for the PlayStation 4 and PC,” the executive said.

If you have been aware of the development of Ni no Kuni II, it is very likely that you will know that this is not the first time they have delayed the game. What we mean is that the game was originally scheduled to debut in November 2017; however, Bandai Namco and Level-5 changed their release date to guarantee their quality.
